A Little About Me
This site is a window into my professional life, but if you’re curious about the person behind the work, here are a few personal highlights:
- My maternal grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Latin America and, despite a lifetime here, never fully mastered English.
- Part of my childhood was spent exploring a 100-acre family farm, where I developed an early appreciation for hard work and the outdoors.
- I was born in the Midwest, grew up in Menlo Park, California, spent some of my teenage years in Malaysia, and launched my career in London.
- In college, I studied Arabic, Japanese, and Marxist theory—yes, the last one has proven unexpectedly useful.
- These days, I live in California with my wife, Abby, and our Havanese dog, Hugo. We somehow managed to raise two grounded kids in the heart of Los Angeles.
And yes, I’ve watched Role Models more times than I care to admit.
